Membership Interaction Committee Areas of Volunteerism

Time Commitment:
The committee meets between 4-6 times a year for about an hour and a half. Communication is also conducted via e-mail. Various volunteer opportunities are available based on preferred time commitment.

Areas of Volunteerism:

• Networking event and member welcome event coordinator: Committee members volunteer to coordinate our semi-annual networking event and semi-annual member welcome event. Responsibilities include soliciting other committee members to assist with event tasks, and following-up to ensure others are on task. (Duration= 1 event).

• Project-based opportunities:  A variety of projects throughout the year require just a one-time commitment. Examples include facilitating member surveys, coordinating volunteer gifts and helping to organize events.

• New member callers :  Committee members volunteer to call new members and welcome them to the chapter.  New member calls are done monthly and scripts are provided.

• New member greeters: Committee members volunteer to welcome new members to monthly chapter events.

• Member Referral Coordinator:  Assist with administering the chapter’s Member Referral program. Volunteers issue gift cards and pre-drafted thank you notes to referring members.

• Student Membership Coordinator: Assist with administering the chapter’s Student membership program by verifying student eligibility and welcoming new student members via phone/email.

• Chair: Coordinate monthly new member welcome calls. In coordination with VP of Membership, schedule committee meetings, take notes and create meeting agenda. Conduct orientation for new volunteers to the Committee.
