Key
Components of Safety Recognition
Being
proactive about safety recognition is critical to keeping
worker's compensation costs down, staying compliant with OSHA
requirements and maintaining employee morale. OSHA and university
research studies have identified self-inspection programs
as a crucial element for comprehensive and effective safety
and health programs. This program will look at the benefits
of implementing hazard recognition and self-inspection programs.
We will explore the key issues that must be considered in
implementing an effective self-inspection program including
inspection frequency, accountability, documentation, employee
involvement, and training. We will also examine real life
hazards that are commonplace in many organizations.
