During the November GMA SHRM Summit, the Government Affairs Committee will be hosting State Representative Brett Davis, Republican, and State Senator Jon Erpenbach, Democrat, where they will be presenting topics related to employment law with a focus on the impact legislative and state budget changes have on employers and the Human Resources field.
This session will engage our membership in:
An overview of the legislative process and how HR professionals can assist,
Specific key legislation being discussed today, such as health care reform,
A question and answer session
Our Government Affairs Committee has been working diligently to begin to establish relationships with state legislators and our chapter; we encourage you to attend to help show what’s possible if we can further strengthen these relationships.
