Speaker Biography:

 

Jim Kaellner, CPA, CFA, CFP

Jim is a financial consultant with more than 25 years of financial services experience. His primary clients are business retirement plans and individual investors who are planning for or are in retirement.

 

Prior to joining A.G. Edwards, he was part of the senior management team at the State of Wisconsin Investment Board where he led a group in evaluating the performance and operations of the various investment portfolios which totaled $70 billion. Additional experience includes Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer positions for credit union and insurance organizations.

 

Jim is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute.

 

Paul Stang. J.D., CLU, ChFC

Paul has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis and a law degree from William Mitchell College of Law, St. Paul.

 

He has over twenty years experience with ERISA and qualified plans including 401(k), 403(b), money-purchase pension plans and defined-benefit plans. Paul has set up or restated hundreds of plans. Prior to establishing his own firm, he has worked for a regional CPA firm, a trust company and a national life insurance firm.

 

Paul is a member of Worldwide Employee Benefits (WEB), Dane County Bar Association, State Bar of Wisconsin, State Bar of Minnesota, American Society of Pension Actuaries (ASPA).

 

 

Michael J. Kelly, CRPS

Mike joined the Hartford Retirement Plans Group as a Regional Sales Director in early 2006. He comes with over 16 years of financial services experience including 11 years as a Financial Advisor and 5 years in senior sales management. He will be the local contact responsible for the initial sales process and is the direct contact with your financial advisor. His role involves determining a plan sponsor’s needs, working with pension specialists and designing a plan to address the goals and objectives of your clients.

 

Mike has obtained the Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist designation offered through the College of Financial Planning and has extensive knowledge of the qualified plans industry. He is a Registered Representative of the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) with Series 7, 63, 55 and 65 designations as well as Life Insurance license from the Wisconsin Department of Insurance.
