Tom Gloudeman is currently a consultant with Howick Associates, a Madison, WI based leadership and organizational development consultancy. Tom works with executives and senior HR leaders to facilitate strategy development and execution, apply a systematic approach to leadership development, and develop the HR function as a strategic partner. He was formerly Vice President of Recruitment & Development for Lands’ End in Dodgeville, and served in an HR role there for over 14 years. Tom has been involved in multiple re-organization and re-engineering efforts with a special focus on organizational design and change management.

Milton Perkins, MHRM, SPHR

Milton J. Perkins, MHRM, SPHR is a Regional Director, Member Services for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). In this role he is responsible for facilitating strategic planning and provides advice and counsel to the Society’s volunteer members and leaders. He is responsible for ensuring executed regional strategies are aligned with the overall organizational vision, mission, values and goals of SHRM. He provides leadership and supervision to the regional Member Services team, as well as contributes to the strategic direction of the organization as a member of the Member Services Management Team and SHRM’s Senior Management Team. Lastly, he is the Diversity Panel Staff Leader and the Governmental Affairs Core Leadership Area Liaison.

Prior to joining SHRM, Milton was the Managing Partner for Kaufman, VonStuben and Associates (KVA) www.kvaexec.com. KVA specializes in helping organization develop and implement strategies, processes, policies and metrics associated with attracting, motivating and retaining top talent. As a senior human resource executive his focus has been in the area of integrating business and general human capital strategies with alternative and non-traditional labor market sourcing methodologies. He specialized in talent program development, employment branding, sourcing, training, screening, interviewing, selecting, hiring, acculturating talent, and career transitions of top talent. Additionally, as a member of several HR leadership teams, he has a perspective on integrating talent systems across all major HR functional areas. He is currently on KVA’s Board of Directors.

Other roles Milton has held are Director of Global Talent Acquisitions and Career Transitions for Hewitt Associates; Senior Counsel for Recruitment, Training and Retention for Schwan’s Enterprises; and President of The Genesis Group. He has experience developing human capital strategies in partnership with global line of business leaders, internal affinity groups, staffing leaders, community-based organizations and external affinity group partners. He is known for his innovative, research-based, out-of-the-box, and sometimes, humorous approach to the topic of getting the right people, to the right place, at the right time. He has assisted several firms in building sourcing strategies that have resulted in lower acquisition costs, lower cycle times, greater productivity and increased diversity applicant flow. Mr. Perkins has nearly 24 years of human resource and management experience.

Among his current research interests are cultural nuances and axiology, the labor market entrance of Echo Boomers/Gen Y, the exodus of Baby Boomers, alternative labor markets, diversity and talent acquisition strategies to address them all. His recent accomplishments include Employment Committee member - Society for Human Resource Management; Conference Organizer for the Rainbow Push Annual Conference, a member of the Employer Management Association and the National Association of Colleges and Employers. Mr. Perkins has been featured in Diversity Inc., The Black Collegian Magazines, Savoy and Black Enterprise magazines. He has been a speaker at the HR Masters, the HR Forum, AIRS Diversity Summits, Computer World Diversity Recruitment Conference, ERE Forum, Savoy Magazine’s Diversity Summit, the National Black MBA Association’s Conference, The World Diversity Summit in Prague, the National Society for Hispanic MBA’s conference, TMP Worldwide’s conference on diversity and college recruitment, and the Employer Management Association’s Chicago Chapter Convention. He has authored articles/whitepapers on various topics for the Society of Human Resource Management and has been interviewed for numerous publications.

Mr. Perkins received his Masters of Science in Human Resources from Keller Graduate School of Management, and his Bachelors of Science in Management Computer Information Systems from Parkville University. He holds certifications as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the HR Certification Institute, and is a Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) with the National Association of Personnel Services. He has completed human resource leadership studies at the Disney Institute, the Society for Human Resource Management/HR Certification Institute, as well as the executive leadership development program at Babson College, Wellesley, MA

Presenter's Bio

 

Bill has been with the UW Health Physicians since July of 2001. He has been in health care and human resource management since 1975. During his career he has worked with hospitals, clinics, non-profit community health centers and the world’s largest for-profit international health system. As Director of International Human Resources for Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), he and his family lived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for five years. During that time, Bill oversaw IHRM for HCA facilities in Singapore, Sydney, Panama, Brazil, London, Rome, Cairo, and Riyadh. Prior to entering healthcare, Bill owned and published the Lafayette ( Colorado) Times newspaper.

Bill did his undergraduate work in Economics at the University of Colorado; and did graduate work at the University of Colorado and the University of Denver. He has been a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) since 1981. He is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management, the American Society of Healthcare Human Resource Administration, the American College of Medical Practice Executives, the American College of Healthcare Executives, and the Medical Group Management Association. In addition to serving on numerous boards and community organizations, he is a life member of the Vietnam Veterans of America and Disabled American Veterans. He has been published in numerous journals and has spoken internationally on healthcare and human resources issues and trends. He is a past-President of La Crosse SHRM and was Leadership Director for the Wisconsin State SHRM for two years.

Diane Hamilton is a partner with the Center for Organization Effectiveness and surveysbydesign.com. Diane assists leaders in the design and implementation of individual and organizational improvement and change strategies. She assesses culture and organizational effectiveness, designs performance improvement systems, coaches executives on 360-degree feedback, and advises on business and interpersonal effectiveness issues. Diane has over 21 years of experience, including roles as a consultant, training director, and human resource generalist.

Wayne Reschke is a founding partner of the Center for Organization Effectiveness, a Madison-based human resource development firm. The Center created the survey software, surveysbydesign, which is at the core of the 360 ° process. Wayne helps businesses to assess and develop their leaders, manage change initiatives, improve organizational performance and implement employee development and retention strategies. He conducts culture assessments, facilitates business planning and strategy development, and provides one-on-one coaching to executives and managers. Wayne has 26 years of human resource development experience, including management roles in three consulting firms and positions in human resource development at UW-Madison and as a training director and general faculty at the University of Virginia. Wayne is also a Lecturer at the UW-Madison School of Business and the Fluno Center for Executive Education.

 

Wayne has consulted and provided training for varied clients including: Allen-Bradley, Alliant Energy Corporation, Associated Bank, Baxter HealthCare, Briggs & Stratton, Covance, CUNA Mutual Group, General Casualty, Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, SC Johnson Wax, Lands’ End, Northwestern Mutual, Pleasant Company, Promega, Rayovac, Schneider National, St. Marys Hospital, Telephone & Data Systems, US Cellular, Veridian Homes, and Wisconsin Gas.
