Morning
Workshop: Sunrise, Sunset: Employee Life Cycle from Non-Competes
to Legal Terminations
Hiring
and firing is a necessary part of every HR professional's
life. Don't get caught without what you need to know to avoid
legal challenges to your hiring and firing decisions. This
workshop will refresh and update your knowledge of the legal
pitfalls that can arise in connection with the hiring and
firing process and provide you with some practical advice
on how to avoid those pitfalls.
In addition,
many employers routinely require new employees to sign non-competition
agreements, assuming the agreements will provide protection
from the former employee's competition when the employee leaves.
As many employers have learned the hard was, this is not a
safe assumption. Learn how to avoid common mistakes that make
non-competition agreements vulnerable to challenge.
